If cooking dinner doesn’t sound like a holiday to you, here’s a list of Charlotte area restaurants open on Thanksgiving, which is Thursday, November 28, 2024. Most of these restaurants have special Thanksgiving meals. Many will fill up early, so make sure to make reservations right away.
There are a few takeout options included in this list as well. If you’re not sure, just go to their website (links are included.) You should, in most cases, be able to order individual meals for takeout or delivery.
If you want to order a Thanksgiving dinner in advance, to heat up at home, that’s an option as well! Check out our list of Thanksgiving meals to order in advance.
These restaurants are in all price ranges. We’ve abandoned our “cheap stuff only” rule for this list. If you’re expecting “on the cheap” options, some won’t fit the bill! But if you value not cooking and cleaning enough, and just want to spend time with family, maybe you won’t mind splurging.

You’ll definitely need to make a reservation at the higher end restaurants on this list, but we’ve provided information some last-minute drop-in restaurants as well! In the case of chain restaurants, make sure to verify with the location of your choice, as plans might vary.

Angeline’s will be serving a three-course menu, served family-style and featuring holiday classics with an Angeline’s twist, at $48 per person. They will also be offering a separate limited menu. Full Thanksgiving menu is as follows:

- Roasted Butternut Squash with brown butter apple compote, brandy cream, and hazelnuts
- Seasonal Local Greens with local chicories, Asian pear, gorgonzola, fried pecans, and thyme vinaigrette

- Slow-Roasted Turkey with herb turkey jus and cranberry marmalade
