Small Business Saturday is an initiative from American Express to encourage shopping in local brick & mortar stores. American Express customers can get a $10 credit on their card when they shop at a local store with their American Express card on Saturday, November 29th, 2014. Here’s how it works. Starting November 16th, register your American Express card with Small Business Saturday. Only a limited number of cards can be registered, so make sure to take care of this right away. Registration closes November 29th or when the limit is reached, whichever happens first.
Then, on Saturday, November 29th, shop at a local small business that has registered for this program, spend at least $10 in one transaction, and pay with your American Express card. In about 90 days you’ll find a $10 credit on your card.
A change for this year: you can take advantage of this offer up to three times on November 29th, so you can actually get up to a $30 credit on your card. Remember: you do not have spend more than $10 to get each credit. But you do have to spend $10. If you spend $5 you will not get a credit.
Enter your city name or zip code on the Small Business Saturday map to find participating businesses.
