Local artist Lori Love is showing some of her work at Layers: Mixed Media in the 21st Century on Friday, May 26th, 2017, at Butteroni’s Emporium and Fairy Forest, 516 15th Street. Admission is free and the event will be going on from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
If you haven’t seen Lori Love’s mixed media work up close, this is a great opportunity. Some of her work features musicians, including John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan, and she uses musical media like pieces of vinyl records or tape in the pieces.
It’s interesting to view them from a distance and then come up close to see the details. You may have seen her work on display at The Evening Muse.
At this show she’ll also be showing some of her smaller mixed media pieces. Visit her website or her Instagram account to see more of her work.
Butteroni’s, in Area 15, between Uptown and NoDa, features local art, handcrafted items, clothing, jewely, pottery, fairy miniatures, and hosts parties.
