Ballantyne Arts Center, at 11318 N Community House Road, Charlotte, is presenting a free event for kids, Live Story Time, twice a month.
This free family event will engage imaginations of all ages.

It will be led by professional teaching artists, and will feature a live reading and performance from selected story books, along with a sensory-rich visual art exploration.
Live Story Times at the Ballantyne Arts Center offers an inclusive environment for the whole family to come and enjoy the arts. This event will feature live reading of storybooks that match the week’s theme, told with the help of our audience
Flexible seating will be available and you are welcome to bring your favorite blanket or stuffy from home so you can snuggle up and enjoy yourselves.
After storytime, enjoy a rotation of sensory activities, grown-up and me dance, and a free play room. This program is offered for free at the Ballantyne Arts Center, but registration is required for both children and adults.
The Ballantyne Arts Center is located at the corner of Community House Rd and Ballantyne Commons Pkwy in the 2nd floor of the Ballantyne Corners Shopping Center.
Registration is required for each event. The themed events take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the following dates.
- Monday, February 17, 2025: Black History Month
- Monday, March 3, 2025: Luck of the Irish
- Monday, March 17, 2025: Girl Power
- Monday, April 7, 2025: Earth Day
- Monday, April 21, 2025: Readers are Leaders
