The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, at Levine Center for the Arts, 420 S Tryon Street, Charlotte, North Carolina, is celebrating its 15th birthday in January, 2025.
Create a Birthday Card
To celebrate, guests of all ages are invited to design a special birthday card for the Bechtler. From December 27, 2024, to January 2, 2025, there will be a card-making activity in the lobby of the museum.
Use the provided materials to decorate your card. Prompts include:
- What’s your favorite thing about the Bechtler?
- Draw something that inspired you during your visit!
- Write a birthday wish to the Bechtler!
Once finished, add your card to the birthday card wall in the lobby.
Come by any time the museum is open:
- Monday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tuesday: Closed
- Wednesday: Closed for New Year’s Day (Normally 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays)
- Thursday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sunday: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Birthday Bash
On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, as part of Wednesday Night Live, The Bechtler is hosting a 15-year Birthday Bash from 5 to 9 p.m. Admission is free.
- Explore the exhibitions. Gallery attendants will be stationed at each space to share insights about the artwork
- DJ Dammit Wesley
- Drink specials
- Design your own birthday card
- Giveaway prize wheel (win prizes like a free drink, guest passes, free membership, tickets to special events, and more)
On Wednesday nights from 5 to 9 p.m., admission is free to Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, Mint Museum and the Gantt Center. Learn more about Wednesday Night Live.
