Betty by Moxie Mercantile, at 1219 Thomas Avenue, is hosting Betty Bookworms, a free storytime and music event for children. While kids enjoy the activity, their caregivers can sip free coffee from The Giddy Goat.
At each event there will be a featured local storyteller.

- July 14 – Representative from the Plaza Midwood Library
- July 21 – Kim Wilson, a local author celebrating her new book launch of “A Dollar’s Grand Dream”
- July 28 – Joe Garrick, a local author
- August 4 – Rachel Nadel, a local author
- August 11 – Rachel Hidalgo, from The Authentic Nest
- August 18 – Julie and Julia from The Family Jewels, Comedy Duo
- August 25 – Mary-Catherine Ballard, a local doula
