The Spoke Easy, at 1523 Elizabeth Avenue, is both a bicycle shop and a bar. Sometimes it shows bike-themed movies. Or movies with a bike in them. It’s hosting a Bike-In Movie Night on Monday, February 20th, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. The movie is E.T.
It’s free to attend.
“After a gentle alien becomes stranded on Earth, the being is discovered and befriended by a young boy named Elliott. Bringing the extraterrestrial into his suburban California house, Elliott introduces E.T., as the alien is dubbed, to his brother and his little sister, Gertie, and the children decide to keep its existence a secret. Soon, however, E.T. falls ill, resulting in government intervention and a dire situation for both Elliott and the alien.” … Then BIKES.
Here’s more about The Spoke Easy, from their Facebook page:
The Spoke Easy is all about the joy of riding a bicycle. We design and build custom bicycles and offer a gathering space for cyclists and designers.
Remember the thrill of riding your first bike, the pumping of the pedals, and the wind through your hair as you set out on an adventure around the block? We want to help you experience that all over again and make cycling a part of your daily life—no stretchy pants required.
And while we’re at it, we will build a community of like-minded individuals eager to celebrate all things involving two-wheeled transportation.
