Join Sustain Charlotte on a family-friendly cycling tour of the newest public art installations from Inside|Out Charlotte.
The free event takes place Saturday, May 6th, 2017, at 10 a.m. Register online. There’s also an option when you register to make a $20 donation, which benefits Sustain Charlotte’s bike program.
Meet at Seversville Park, 530 Bruns Avenue. From there, enjoy a relaxed pace, low-stress bike ride along Irwin Creek and Stewart Creek Greenways.
Don’t have your own bike? Borrow one for free from B-Cycle at the event.
Guided by docents from our partners at the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art and the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture, and the City of Charlotte Bicycle Advisory Committee, participants will learn the significance of these equity-inspired art pieces and the story of how they came to West Charlotte.
Meet fellow art enthusiasts, community members and cyclists of all abilities.
Then at 12:30 p.m. celebrate with lunch or a beer at the after party at Blue Blaze Brewing, 528 South Turner Avenue.

- 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.: Event check-in at Seversville Park (across from Blue Blaze Brewing) Family activities and speakers.
- 10:30 a.m. to approximately 12:30 p.m.: Enjoy a guided tour of Inside|Out art installations narrated by docents from the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art History and the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture.
- 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.: After party at Blue Blaze Brewing
