Charlotte Museum of History, 3500 Shamrock Drive, is hosting a free Black History Month celebration on Saturday, February 13th, 2015, at 2 p.m. New panels on Charlotte’s African American history will be on display. Visitors will get the chance to make their own slogans and posters for change, create dream collages, and participate in a community art project to illustrate a famous quote from the Civil Rights Movement. The event is free and open to the public.
