Haylo Healing Art Lounge, at 1111 Central Avenue, is celebrating its second anniversary on Saturday, March 4th, 2017, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Haylo is a tattoo studio and art gallery that also hosts events like Yoga and Reiki, as well as tastings and other community events. It’s in Plaza Midwood.
From Haylo’s website:
Haylo Healing Arts Lounge is not your average tattoo shop. We offer a mindful wholistic concept for self-discovery, self-actualization and self-expression. We are dedicated to transpersonal art that will last a lifetime. Over time we have grown in the community and expanded our business to include all aspects of personal and creative life styling.
The anniversary party is free to attend and is for ages 21+. There will be food and drinks but you can bring your own drinks as well. There’s free parking.
The event will include an art show with 30 photographs by Gene Lazo of clients who are adorned with custom tattoos. He’ll have photography books for sale as well.
Lazo says this about his exhibit: “These images should be viewed in the context of a troika, as an individual expressing a story born in their soul by adorning their physical body with the work of an female artist transforming the ethereal to the tangible and this work then revisioned in context by a male photographer.”
At 10 p.m., there will be live music from a band made up of Hayley Moran, Deirdre Kroener, Alicia Driver and Rocketman McNeely.
At the event Haylo will be raising money for ACLU and Journey Home Crafts, a Local organization that teaches refugee women how to sew and grow their entrepreneurship.
