Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is giving away backpacks and school supplies in a fun event, Bookbag Bonanza, on Saturday, August 19th, 2017, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., at Sugaw Creek Recreation Center, 943 Sugar Creek Road.
This event is FREE and open to the public. Registration will take place at the door upon arrival, and bookbags will be distributed to registered participants of the program.
In addition to providing bookbags and school supplies, this event will also include:
– Face painting
– Games and activities
– Basketball clinic
– Vendors
– Music/Entertainmet
– Food for children
Students may also bring their bicycle for a bicycle workshop, where they can get a bike lesson and learn about bike safety and maintenance.
