Springtime must be on the way! The Ford Green has reopened at Camp North End! All spring and summer, bring the family to Camp North End and let the kids build and play with the giant Legos, while you enjoy food and drink at the picnic tables. Open all day!
Camp North End is at 300 Camp Road, Charlotte, North Carolina. Keep reading for information on free parking.
The blocks are big enough, and there enough of them, so that kids can build kid-sized forts and buildings.
There’s no charge to enjoy the blocks.
Ford Green is covered with artificial turf, so it won’t get muddy. Although dogs are welcome in Camp North End (and it’s a great place for a dog walk) they are not allowed on the turf.
There are several places throughout Camp North End to purchase food to enjoy at Ford Green, including:
- Blasian Asian Way
- Eggroll Company
- Gravity Sourdough Pizza
- Halal Street Food
- Hex Coffee
- Hip Hop Smoothies
- La Caseta
- Seemingly Overzealous Ice Cream
- Soul Miner’s Garden
In addition, the North End Farmers Market will be returning one afternoon a week in April (in 2024 it was on Thursdays from 4 to 8 p.m.), so you can buy some produce and hand-made goods at the market and then enjoy one of the treats at Ford Green.

There is a lot of free parking at Camp North End:
- Boileryard district: 1824 Statesville Avenue
- Mount district: 1774 Statesville Avenue
- Keswick district: 1801 N. Graham Street
- Garage: 120 Razades Way (first 3 hours free)
