Cane Creek Park, 5213 Harkey Road, Waxhaw, NC, is holding free pop-up classes throughout the summer. The programs will continue through August 17, 2023.
No registration is required. They’re first-come, first-served. The programs are around 15 minutes long per guest. After your time is over you can get back in line if you wish to participate again.
They’re for ages 8 and older. A parent or guardian must be with minors (under 18) at all times.
There’s a $4 per vehicle charge for park entrance.
Each program will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

Archery 101
Tuesdays
Join the staff as they teach basic archery shooting skills and allow you to practice in a safe environment with a USA Archery certified instructor.
Stand-Up Paddle Boarding 101
Wednesdays
Join staff as they teach basic paddle board paddling skills and allow you to paddle in a supervised area of the lake.
Kayaking 101
Thursdays
Join staff as they teach basic kayak paddling skills and allow you to paddle in a supervised area of the lake.
