Carolina Lavender Farm, at 188 Meek Road, Gastonia, North Carolina, is hosting a U-Pick Eucalyptus Festival on Friday, August 5th, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Admission is $20, and that includes a good sized bunch of branches (approximately 17-20 stems at 15 to 20 inches long.)
Check out our lists of farmers’ markets and u-pick farms for all seasons in the Charlotte area!
There are more than 10 varieties of eucalyptus growing at the farm, including baby blue, silver dollar, gunni, small-leaved gum, and more.
Eucalyptus lasts about two weeks in a vase, or you can dry it for everlasting stems, or hang it in the shower to steam the oils.
You can also purchase dry bundles of lavender, which you can combine with eucalyptus to make fragrant shower bundles.
You can also purchase a tree, or essential oils (eucalyptus, lavender, rosemary, and lemongrass), as well as other products.
Bring clippers and a bucket that can hold water.
Parking is free and all ages are welcome. There are no restroom facilities on site.
