Carolina Raptor Center, 6000 Sample Rd, Huntersville, within Latta Nature Center and Preserve, rehabilitates injured birds of prey, and educates the public about them.
You can see eagles, owls, vultures, hawks and falcons on the Raptor Trail. There are also a number of flight shows, raptor encounters and presentations.
The current procedure: you’ll buy a ticket up on the website for a 2.5 hour time slot. That’s the best way to make sure that you are able to visit, since they only admit 125 visitors each session.
Carolina Raptor Center is open seven days a week.

- 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission Fees:
- $12 – Adults
- $10 – Seniors, Teachers, Military Adults
- $8 – Students 4 and Older with Student ID
- Free – Children 3 and Under and Members
Free Admission Day — Juneteenth
On Juneteenth, June 19th, 2021, there will be no prescribed admission fee. Come for a visit and just contribute what you can in the donation box.
Timed tickets are still in effect. It’s recommended that you reserve your free tickets in advance. If there is space available, walk-ups will also be permitted.

- 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
