Carolina Raptor Center has been caring for an injured osprey whose wing was injured from being tangled in a fishing line. Carolina Raptor Center cleaned and bandaged the wing, gave the bird fluids, as well as a LOT of fish.
After some time and a daily exercise regimen, the bird is ready to be released into the wild.
The osprey will be released on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., from the swim beach at Lake Norman State Park, 1412 State Park Road, Statesville, NC.
At this free event, which will last about 30 minutes, you can also meet one of Carolina Raptor Center’s avian ambassadors and learn what’s happening at Carolina Raptor Center.
Please do not bring pets, as they can disrupt rehabilitated and resident birds.
