What is the Center City Vision Plan? From Charlotte Center City:
Beginning with the Odell Plan in the 1960s, Charlotte has a 50-year tradition of a creating a new Center City and downtown plan every 10 years to provide a blueprint for long term growth and development. The last vision plan was adopted in 2011 and so it is now time to chart a new course for the future. Over the past decade, our Center City has evolved a great deal, with changes that have been incredible and positive as well as challenging and revealing. Also, many new citizens now call Charlotte home. We will want to consider these changes, and our shared values, and infuse new ideas into the Center City 2040 Vision Plan.
