Rhythm on Buckets: Percussion Fun

Free
In this 1-hour percussion lesson, students will be introduced to the basics of rhythm using bucket drums. The class will explore fundamental drumming patterns, focusing on rhythm, beat, and timing. Using Rap a Tap Tap as inspiration, students will connect the concept of rhythm in music to the rhythms found in movement, dance, and everyday life.
Turtle Sculptures: Create and Paint

Ages 8-12

In this two-part sculpture lesson, students will create clay turtle sculptures and explore texture and form in the first class. During the second class, after the turtles have been fired, students will paint their sculptures using acrylic paints. This hands-on project combines artistic techniques with fun and creativity.
Program is for ages 8 to 12 years old. The organizers encourage an adult or older sibling to also attend with the participant. When registering, only register the number of participants such as one 9 year old with parent would be a registration of 1; one 8 year old with 13 year old sibling would be a registration of 1. Registration required. Registration opens 1 month prior to the session.
