Classical Public Radio 89.9 WDAV announced today its new Classical Harvest Concert Series, sponsored by J.J. Wade and Associates Insurance and Risk Management. The concert series brings chamber music ensembles to farmers markets around the region. Partnering organizations include the Western-Piedmont Symphony, the Davidson College Concert Series, the Union Symphony, the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, and the Winston-Salem Symphony.
“One of the best aspects of chamber music is that it’s portable,” says Will Keible, Director of Marketing and Corporate Support. “While an orchestra has space limitations, a small ensemble can play practically anywhere, at any time. Our vision is to take classical music out of the concert hall and place it in the community for all to enjoy. We hope that the Classical Harvest Concert Series will brighten Saturday morning for thousands across the region this fall.”
All concerts are 9-11am and will be broadcast live on WDAV’s Facebook page. For more information, visit wdav.org.
