Charlotte Ballet is going all out on making ballet fun, accessible and affordable for families. Their next performance, Fall Works, which runs October 19, 2017, through October 21st, at Knight Theater, is suitable for the entire family.
On Saturday, October 21st, Charlotte Ballet is offering a Family Matinee at 2 p.m. Children’s tickets are only $15. This $15 price for kids is for any available seat and is for kids age 18 and under. Purchase now. Attendees must purchase regular priced tickets for adults attending.
Before the show, starting at 1 p.m., there will be free children’s activities, related to the show that families are about to see. Kids will learn about ballet, get excited about the show, and most of all, have fun. Activities include dance classes and a costume creation station.
The one-hour performance features George Balanchine’s Apollo and Johan Inger’s Walking Mad.
There will be an on-stage host to guide the experience and offer behind-the-scenes insights.
Family Matinees and the $15 child ticket price are presented by The Leon Levine Foundation. Family Matinees will also be held for The Most Incredible Thing in March and Spring Works in April.
