Charlotte Blues Society, an affiliate of the Blues Foundation, is a non-profit organization dedicated to “Keepin’ the Blues Alive.” They host “Blues Sunday” at the Skyline Room at Heist Brewery & Barrel Arts, 1030 Woodward Avenue, Charlotte, North Carolina.
Blues Sunday takes place the first Sunday of the month, from January to June and from August to December.
The events include a featured performer and an open jam. Admission ranges from $10 to $15 but is free for jammers, so bring your instrument! Backline is provided for these events. Bring your instruments, sticks, any pedals or effects you may need, plus a harp amp and mic if needed.
Charlotte Blues Society presents other concerts as well, sometimes at Neighborhood Theatre. They also present an occasional open blues jam at VFW Post 1160.

Deja Blues will lead the Open Blues Jam at Heist Brewery & Barrel Arts in Charlotte.
Opening act is the Youth Showcase Representative Jackson Slater who will head off to Memphis later that week for the International Blues Challenge. Jackson performs at 6 p.m., followed by the Open Jam.
