Charlotte Cirque & Dance Center is offering FREE classes at Berewick Recreation Center, 5910 Dixie River Road, Charlotte, North Carolina.
These classes are sponsored by Culture Blocks, a community partnership funded by Mecklenburg County.
The classes take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from February 4 to May 1, 2025. Follow the links below to register. You don’t need to commit to attend every week. You can register for as many or as few classes as you’d like.
At the end of the series, you will have the option to perform at the International Circus and Dance Celebration on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Berewick Recreation Center. Performance is not required but encouraged to share your knowledge with our community.
Juggling 101
Tuesdays
6 to 6:50 p.m.
Ages 6+
Your teacher, Nicole Muse-Dennis, will lead you in a variety of exercises to improve your hand-eye-coordination. You will learn how to juggling scarves, balls and possibly the diabolo (Chinese yo-yo).
African Dance
Tuesdays
7 to 7:50 p.m.
Ages 8+
In this class you will learn dance moves from a variety of African countries.
Partner Acrobatics
Thursdays
6 to 7:50 p.m.
Ages 10+
Breakdancing
Thursdays
7 to 7:50 p.m.
Ages 8+
