Olympic Open House at Charlotte Curling

Charlotte Curling, at 6525 Old Statesville Road, Charlotte, is holding two open houses to celebrate the Winter Olympics. This is a great chance to check out the facility, which has a warm, comfortable viewing area and a full bar that features local craft beer.

You can see what it’s like to throw a rock, watch the Winter Olympics on TV, and even meet an Olympian. Both Olympic Open Houses are free to the public, and for $10 you can experience a short on-ice lesson, learn to sweep, and throw two rocks.

Open House/Throw-A-Rock featuring the 2021 Men’s National Champions and an Olympic Gold Medalist

1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Free admission to visit the facility. Want to get out on the ice? For $10 guests receive a short on-ice session, learning to sweep and throwing two rocks. Charlotte Curling members will be there to explain the sport, as well as the 2021 US Men’s National Championship team, led by Korey Dropkin and 2018 Olympic Gold Medalist Joe Polo. Don’t miss this chance to meet an Olympian and see an Olympic medal up close!
