
Charlotte Dragon Boat Races and Asian Festival takes place at Ramsey Creek Park, 18441 Nantz Road, Cornelius, NC, on Saturday, May 17, 2025. The festival takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Keep reading for a more detailed schedule.
Admission is free.
This popular annual event features the racing of colorful dragon boats by various local teams, and a cultural festival with vendor booths, performances and food stands.
There’s no parking for the festival at Ramsey Creek Park. Park at 8900 North Pointe Executive Park, Huntersville, NC. The lot opens to festival visitors at 9 a.m., with free shuttle service.
- Parade of Nations is at 10:30 a.m.
- Opening ceremony is at 11 a.m.
- First round of Dragon Boat races will end around 11 a.m.
- The second round will end around 1 p.m.
- The final round of Dragon Boat races will start at 2 p.m. — this is a good time to plan on watching!
- The cultural programs start at 12 p.m. and go until 4:30 p.m.
- The festival ends at 5 p.m.
