Share this news with friends in Georgia and throughout the Southeast in the path of Hurricane Helene — Charlotte Motor Speedway is opening its campgrounds for evacuees seeking refuge.
Guests will have access to bathhouse facilities on the property.
Evacuees are asked to check in at the Camping World Racing Resort office, 6600 Bruton Smith Blvd, Concord, North Carolina, which can be accessed at the entrance to zMAX Dragway, starting as early as Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
After-hour arrivals should park near the camping office and check in during regular business hours. Evacuees will have access to bathhouse facilities on speedway property. Questions can be directed to the camping office at 704-455-4445.
This might be a safer place to park your car than many places. Also, please know that heavy rain is expected in the Charlotte area Thursday, September 26, and Friday, September 27, 2024.
