UPDATE December, 2022: The market is now open, as El Mercadito, at 1720 Galleria Boulevard. Read about El Mercadito.
Update: According to Charlotte Open Air Market’s announcement on Facebook, as of September 30th, 2021, the City of Charlotte hasn’t renewed the market’s lease, so it won’t be taken place for now.
Charlotte Open Air Market is open every Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It’s at the site of the old Eastland Mall, at 5471 Central Avenue. The market is free to attend, and parking is free too.
Please note that the address is approximate. The parking lot is huge, and the market is not exactly where your GPS might take you. If you’re in the parking lot, and you’re facing the bus stop, turn left.
Double-Check Before You Head Out!
We make every effort to make sure that everything on Charlotte on the Cheap is 100% accurate.
However, sometimes things change without notice, and we are not always notified. It's also possible that we can make a mistake.
Please verify all deals and events with the venue or organizer before you go.
This market has a rich multicultural atmosphere, with a huge variety of vendors.
We’ve seen just about everything you can imagine there…candy apples, shoes, plants, food trucks, vegetables, funnel cakes, jewelry…
Plus food trucks!
Come hungry!
There’s plenty of parking, and it’s also the site of Eastland Community Transit Center.
