Charlotte StrEATs Festival is a celebration of Charlotte’s food and beverage scene. It’s part of Charlotte SHOUT!, which takes place April 4 to 20, 2025.
Charlotte StrEATs Festival takes place on April 13, 2025, at Gateway Village, 900 W Trade Street, Charlotte, NC.
Leading up to Charlotte StrEATs will be two ticketed events: StrEATs Uncorked and StrEATs Tasting Tour. You might find these two events a bit of a splurge, but the Charlotte StrEATs Festival is free to attend.
Founded in 2022 by Kristen Wile and Casey Wilson, the Charlotte StrEATs Festival is a one-of-a-kind celebration of the city’s rich culinary identity.

There are three main components to Charlotte StrEATs:
- StrEATs Uncorked: April 4, 2025, from 6-9 p.m., (Johnson & Wales, 801 W Trade St.)
- StrEATs Tasting Tour: April 12, 2025, from 12 to 3 p.m. (Gateway Village, 900 W. Trade St.)
- Charlotte StrEATs Festival: April 13, 2025, from 12 to 4 p.m. (Gateway Village, 900 W. Trade St.)
StrEATs Uncorked
StrEATs Uncorked, presented by NC Wine, will offer a taste of North Carolina’s finest wines and regional cuisines. Taste a handpicked selection of award-winning North Caroline wines, enjoy a short guide tasting with Charlotte sommeliers, and savor delicious dishes inspired by local flavors. It will take place April 4, 2025, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Johnson & Wales, 801 W Trade Street, Charlotte, NC. Early Bird tickets are $55 and General Admission tickets are $65.
Charlotte StrEATs Tasting Tour
StreEATS Tasting Tour takes place Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 12 to 3 p.m., at Gateway Village. festival-goers taste their way through Charlotte’s iconic neighborhoods without leaving Uptown. This ticketed, age 21+ event includes tastes from 20 restaurants, cooking demonstrations, craft cocktails from Charlotte mixologists, and live music.
Tickets start at $80, plus fees. Early bird sales end February 20, 2025, and prices will go up after that date.
Charlotte StrEATs Festival
Charlotte StrEATs Festival is the main event! It’s free to attend and takes place Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Gateway Village.
The festival will feature the area’s top local food and beverage vendors, a celebrity chef, artisan market with top culinary vendors, cooking demonstrations, food trucks, art and more.
Attendees can purchase food from food trucks.
There will also be a Neighborhood Cook-off. These battles will pit chefs head-to-head in a cook-off to win the title of StrEATs Neighborhood Champion.
Wristbands will be on sale for craft cocktail tastings.
