Charlotte StrEATs Festival is a celebration of Charlotte’s food and beverage scene. It’s part of Charlotte SHOUT!, which takes place March 29 to April 14, 2024.
Charlotte StrEATs Festival takes place on April 14, 2024, at Gateway Village, 900 W Trade Street, Charlotte, NC.
Leading up to Charlotte StrEATs will be two ticketed events: StrEATs Uncorked and StrEATs Tasting Tour.
Kristen Wile of Unpretentious Palate and Casey Wilson of Carben Events + Marketing have partnered with Charlotte SHOUT! to produce the event.

There are three main components to Charlotte StrEATs:
- StrEATs Uncorked April 3rd from 6-9 p.m., (Johnson & Wales, 801 W Trade St.)
- StrEATs Tasting Tour April 13th from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. (Gateway Village, 900 W. Trade St.)
- Charlotte StrEATs Festival April 14th from 12-5 p.m. (Gateway Village, 900 W. Trade St.)
StrEATs Uncorked
A new component of the festival this year, StrEATs Uncorked will bring a taste of four North Carolina wine regions and four Carolina cuisines to Uptown. It will take place April 3, 2024, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Johnson & Wales, 801 W Trade Street, Charlotte, NC. Check back soon for more info.
Charlotte StrEATs Tasting Tour
On Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 12 to 3 p.m., at Gateway Village, festival-goers taste their way through Charlotte’s iconic neighborhoods without leaving Uptown. This ticketed, age 21+ event includes tastes from 20 restaurants, cooking demonstrations, craft cocktails from Charlotte mixologists, and live music.
Tickets start at $95. Prices go up by $10 on April 1, 2024.

Charlotte StrEATs Festival
Charlotte StrEATs Festival is the main event! It’s free to attend and takes place Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Gateway Village.
The festival will feature the area’s top local food and beverage vendors, a celebrity chef, artisan market with top culinary vendors, cooking demonstrations, food trucks, art and more.
Attendees can purchase food from food trucks.
There will also be a Neighborhood Cook-off. These battles will pit chefs head-to-head in a cook-off to win the title of StrEATs Neighborhood Champion.

- Representing West Charlotte: Chef Jamie Barnes, What The Fries / Serving The Culture
- Representing Belmont: Chef Anthony Denning, Another Food Truck
- Representing Fort Mill: Chef Amy Fortes, The Flipside Café
