Charlotte Symphony is presenting a free concert, Music Without Borders:
Join us for a free community performance on Monday, March 20 at 12 p.m. in the Knight Theater lobby.
Music without Borders will serve as a recognition and celebration of the global diversity of composers and our own local musicians, and the richness these immigrant cultures bring to the art of music and the human experience.
The 45-minute chamber music performance will include a composition by Charlotte-trained pianist and Syrian-American Malek Jandali, plus works by Mexican composer Manuel Ponce, and selections by Jewish composers performed in the Terezin Nazi war camp during the Holocaust.
A special thank you to Blumenthal Performing Arts for donating the Knight Theater lobby and to Crisis Assistance Ministry for sponsoring this event.
