Charlotte Youth Energy Academy: Power Up The Future is a free event open to all high school students in grade 9 to 12, on Saturday, October 20th, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at Siemens, 5101 Westinghouse Boulevard.

In recognition of Black Energy Awareness Month (BEAM), high school students (grades 9 through 12) are invited to participate in a one-day academy that offers live demonstrations, hands-on activities, and engaging discussion with energy and utility professionals.
The goal is to introduce high school students to traditional and non-traditional science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers in the energy industry.
Dress code is casual. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. There will be prizes and giveaways!
