Visit downtown Mount Holly on Sunday, November 20th, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. to view art, shop for the holidays, and listen to music played on a historic piano. You’ll also have a chance to visit Mount Holly Historical Society Museum.
Mount Holly is a small town in Gaston County, just west of Charlotte.
Several shops in Mount Holly are having a Christmas Open House on Sunday, Nov. 20 from 2 to 5 pm. The Vintage Nest, Derr’s Boutique, Jacqueline’s Boutique and Create in Us Art Studio will all be open.
The Mount Holly Historical Society Museum 131 S. Main Street, Mount Holly will be open free of charge.
The public will have a special opportunity hear the 1850s piano which was a gift from Moses Rhyne to this daughter Susan (later Susan Rhyne Love). The piano was acquired by the historical society this year. This will be the first opportunity to hear it. Musicians include Karen Hite Jacob of Belmont Abbey,, John Apple, organist/choir director – Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Mt. Holly and Addison Bolick, soprano, student at Belmont Abbey College. There will also be Christmas Carols for all to sing.
