Clayworks, at 4506 Monroe Road, Charlotte, North Carolina, is a nonprofit organization with a mission of teaching, sharing and promoting ceramics arts. It regularly hosts events for the community.
Spring Sale and 20th Birthday Bash

Clayworks is hosting its Spring Sale and 20th Birthday Bash on Friday, April 4, and Saturday, April 5, 2025:
- Friday: 6 to 9 p.m.
- Saturday; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It’s free to attend. Here’s what’s going on each day:
Friday
- Pottery sale
- Student exhibition
- Clay Olympics (competitive pottery events)
- Live music, cake and a champagne toast
Saturday
- Pottery sale
- Student exhibition
- Community Raku firing
- Free handbuilding workshops (registration required) This is sold out, but you can join a wait list.
First Friday
Clayworks opens up to the public the first Friday of the month, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. It’s free to attend First Fridays.
The event is free to attend, and is a chance to see Raku demonstrations, go on artist-led studio tours and shop in the gallery. There are also workshops available.

The gallery features functional and sculptural ceramics at every price point from more than 20 Clayworks studio and teaching artists.
