The clowns are coming through for the community again. The Clown Crawl is an annual bar crawl that gathers supplies for the community. In past years it was a school supply drive for homeless children.
This year, it’s a blanket and winter outerwear drive for the homeless. Winter is coming. The price of admission is just a donation of coats, scarves or blankets. This donation gets the cover waived in all the bars, but, perhaps more importantly, gets you free clown makeup.
Show up at Common Market, 2007 Commonwealth Avenue, Saturday, November 12th, 2016, starting at 4 p.m., to get your makeup on. The itinerary will include bars and restaurants in Plaza Midwood. Please make sure that a non-drinking clown is driving.
Bring coats, scarves, and blankets (in good repair) to benefit the homeless directly. Items will be hung on telephone poles or delivered directly to people on the streets of Charlotte. Contribution gets you clown makeup and waived cover for all destinations. You must cover your own bar tabs. Age 21+.
The Annual Clown Crawl is the creation of Martin Barry, Charlotte’s own Evil Clown. Don’t tell him I said this but he’s actually pretty nice. Read about him on CharlotteFive.
