Each weekend in September, historic Concord will be especially colorful.
The Colorful Lights Historic Walking Tour will take place every Friday through Sunday in September, 2021, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Participating residents of this almost 4-mile loop through North and South Union Street will illuminate their homes with colorful lights for the enjoyment of people on the walking tour or just passing by.
There will be an interactive guide and GPS map which you can follow on your smartphone. The interactive guide will be available via QR code printed on yard signs displayed in each participating home.
Just point and snap the QR code with their smartphone cameras and you’ll have access to a GPS map of the tour and a thoughtfully curated interactive guide displaying all kinds of history on each participating house.
Printed guides will also be available to pick-up within participating businesses on South Union in Downtown Concord.
What a great way to enjoy the end of the summer and learn about the history of the homes in downtown Concord. Consider visiting some of the downtown Concord businesses while you’re there. Maybe have dinner in one of the restaurants and then go on the walk!
