Cotton Bean Farms, at 29631 Herrin Grove Road, Mt. Pleasant, is home to Mini Nubian, Boer and Nigerian Dwarf Goats. They sell hand-crafted goat milk soap in an assortment of colors and fragrances.
The farm is about 38 miles to the east of Uptown Charlotte, close to Concord, Harrisburg, Midland and Locust.
They are not open for public visiting, but do host private baby goat play dates!
Yes, that means that you and your family can schedule a time to play with baby goats, and maybe even bottle feed them.
Cotton Bean Farms is hosting special Easter playdates with the goats from March 29th to April 3rd, 2021.
The price is $30 for the first two people, and $10 per person for each additional person (adult or child.) Your family or group will have 45 minutes in the pasture with the Mini Nubian Goats, and will get to bottle feed a baby goat if it’s feeding time. 39 baby goats were born in just 60 days!
You can adde a private Easter Egg hunt to your visit. For each child participating they will put out 12 eggs with candy in the goat pasture for an additional $10 per child.

Please note that there are no public restrooms, and that mud boots are recommended. You’re welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks.

As of December 11th, 2020, Cotton Bean Farms had 22 new baby goats on the farm.
If your timing is just right you might get to see a goat give birth. You might also have the opportunity to milk a goat.
Remember that goats do explore the world with their mouths, so be prepared!
This is the perfect social distancing activity because you won’t be around other people, just goats!
