Dia is Diversity in Action. Programs that celebrate diverse literary experiences have been taking place at Charlotte Mecklenburg Library all April. On Saturday, April 29th, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Dia2017 finale will take place at ImaginOn.
This year’s finale features Angela Dominguez, the author and illustrator of picture books such as Let’s Go Hugo!, Santiago Stays, Knit Together, and Maria Had a Little Llama, which received the American Library Association Pura Belpré Illustration Honor.
Children will also be able to meet Buddy from the PBS Kids television program Dinosaur Train and Chubby of the Charlotte Checkers. Enjoy bread tastings from around the world, take a train ride through ImaginOn and enjoy fun literacy activities from across the globe.
This special event is geared toward children from 18 months to 5 years of age. It’s free to attend.
