Discovery Place offering $3 tickets to residents of western North Carolina

Discovery Place has announced that through the end of October, 2024, it’s offering NC Strong admission tickets — deeply discounted tickets available to residents of western North Carolina who visit:

Discovery Place Science in Charlotte
Discovery Place Kids in Huntersville
Discovery Place Kids in Rockingham

The discounts are being offered to residents of these counties: Avery County, Buncombe County, Clay County, Haywood County, Henderson County, Jackson County, Macon County, Madison County, McDowell County, Mitchell County, Polk County, Rutherford County, Transylvania County, Watauga County and Yancey County.

You might also be interested in visiting Carolina Raptor Center, which is offering free admission to displaced western North Carolina residents through the end of 2024.

Discovery Place Science: $3 per person. Free for children under 2 years old. Purchase here.
Discovery Place Kids: $3 per person. Free for children under 1 year old. Purchase here.

Guests can purchase NC Strong Admission tickets online in advance or upon arrival at the museums. NC Strong Admission tickets require a valid ID showing a western North Carolina zip code upon Museum entry.

Regular adult admission to Discovery Place Science is $23, and regular admission to Discovery Place Kids is $15.

Discovery Place is also providing resources and support to neighboring museums and partners in western North Carolina through the North Carolina Science Network. Discovery Place is helping create a supply chain across the state to transport necessary supplies to affected museums and science centers that are now serving as community resource centers in western North Carolina.
