The Hindu Center of Charlotte, at 7400 City View Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina, is hosting a Diwali Shopping Expo and Carnival on October 20, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It includes shopping, karaoke, food, competitions, family workshops, kids’ games and more. The Diwali Carnival part of the day is from 12 to 3:30 p.m., so you probably want to plan to visit then.
This is in addition to the Diwali Cultural Program and Mela on November 16.
The Diwali Shopping Expo and Carnival is free and open to the public. It will be a great opportunity to learn about the culture and art of Diwali.

It will feature several contests, which cost $5 to enter, except for the kids’ storytelling competition, which is free to enter. You need to register for the competitions:

- Kolka Design Competition

- Kids’ Storytelling Competition (free to enter)
In addition there are several free workshops that you can register for:
- Diya painting (kids only)
