Dupp & Swat is a creative studio in Camp North End, 1824 Statesville Avenue, that provides a platform for artists and a space for the community.
You can browse and shop for work from local artists, including paintings, sculpture, jewelry and more.
Dupp & Swat offers a space at an affordable rate for events — everything from open mics to jewelry making. In the past they’ve hosted live music, film screenings, community conversations and more. To see events as they’re announced, follow Dupp & Swat on Facebook.
If you’re interested in having an event at Dupp & Swat, give them a call at 980-224-2128 or email them at info@duppandswat.com.
In addition, through its non-profit, Crown Keepers, Dupp & Swat maintains The Closet, a collection of clothing, shoes, accessories and school supplies, that students can bring home for free.
All students need to do is show their student ID and they can fill a bag with items from The Closet. They can even come back another day and fill another bag!
Dupp & Swat would love to receive donations for The Closet. Right now they’re particularly looking for cold weather items, like coats, and men’s clothing.
You can bring items by during Dupp & Swat’s regular business hours, which are Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., but if you want to make sure about timing, you might want to give them a call or message them.
