Carolina Farm Trust, an organization that supports local farmers, is hosting Earth Day events from April 22nd to 24th, 2021. The events take place at The Urban Farm at Aldersgate, 4101 Somerdale Lane.
Earth Day Concert
Plog & Jam with Time Sawyer takes place Thursday, April 22nd, 2021. The evening starts at 5:30 p.m. with “plogging,” a jog around the Windsor Park neighborhood, picking up litter. Keep Charlotte Beautiful will provide grabbers and bags.
Then, at 6:30 p.m., local band Time Sawyer will perform on the farm stage for an intimate outdoor concert. Bring your own chairs, food and beverage.
Suggested donation is $10 for the concert, or $15 for the concert plus a limited edition Recover Brands t-shirt. All donations go to Carolina Farm Trust. Tickets are required.
The concert is limited to 100 people, and parking will be along Somerdale Lane at the farm, or Windsor Park Elementary School, 3910 Sudbury Road.

Live reading of Avery & Masa with Author Mike Deeney
This event takes place Saturday, April 24th, 2021, at 11 a.m. Registration is required. Avery and Masa is a series of children’s books that focuses on protecting the environment through the eyes of endangered animals.
Yoga on the Farm with Dancing Lotus Yoga + Arts
