There might be an alpaca-shaped hole in your life because the annual Carolina Alpaca Celebration was canceled this year. But you can still get some quality alpaca time in!
Farm and Fleece Alpaca Ranch, at 4401 Miami Church Road, Concord, North Carolina, hosts tours most Sundays at 1 p.m., and is offering extra tours, at 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m., on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
Tours are $12 and must be reserved in advance. Children 3 and under are admitted for free.
The owners will share educational info about alpacas, how best to handle them, their eco benefits and how their fleece is processed into finished goods. The rest of the time will be yours to feed the alpacas and take pictures of and with them.
In addition, there will be some alpaca fleece products available.
Make reservations here. For the 1 p.m. tour, choose “Alpaca Farm Group Tours – Sundays.” For the 2:30 p.m. or 4 p.m. tours, choose “Feb 9th Alpaca Farm Group Tours — Special Event.”
