Dads and kids age 9 to 13 are invited to participate in the Father’s Day Basketball Challenge on Saturday, June 19th, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The competition takes place at LeafSpring Academy, 3420 Pleasant Plains Road, Matthews.
Duos (a dad and a kid) will compete in an “Around the World” competition. You can see the rules and a demo video here.
The teams are separated by age and gender of the child.
The cost is $10 per duo. The winner in each age group will receive a trophy. The proceeds go to the Yes I Can PLAY Foundation, a non-profit that helps families that are unable to afford the expense of youth sports.
