McColl Center, at 721 N Tryon Street, Charlotte, North Carolina, is hosting Family Day on February 8, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It’s free to attend. This is a day of creative fun for all ages, with art activities inspired by the McColl artists and their work.
Small Batch Concert: Opera Carolina’s Voices of Love”
WDAV’s Small Batch Concert features Opera Carolina’s “Voices of Love.” This concert takes place at Free Range Brewing, 2320 N Davidson Street, Charlotte, North Carolina, on February 13, 2025, at 7 p.m. Tickets are “pay what you can” and seating is first-come, first-served. If you donate $20 or more you’ll receive a limited edition Small Batch pint glass and a Free Range beer or nonalcoholic beverage.

Dog Days of Winter
The Whitewater Center’s Dog Days of Winter festival, on February 15, 2025, includes dog-centered vendors, dog yoga, a dog adoption event, a trail race and dog walk, but most entertainingly, a chance for dogs to play on the ice rink. The festival is free, but parking is $12, and there are charges for the dogs on ice sessions, the 5K trail race and the 1-mile walk.
Repair Cafe
The first Repair Cafe of 2025 in Charlotte takes place February 15, 2025, from 12 to 4 p.m., at Innovation Barn, 932 Seigle Avenue. Bring in your broken stuff and knowledgeable volunteers will help you fix it. Free.
Fairy House Festival
The Fairy House Festival, Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation’s very popular event on February 22, 2025, at Latta Nature Preserve, celebrates fairy houses and fairies. Children dressed as fairies and gnomes enjoy storytelling, crafts, activities and games. Tickets are $7 for ages 5 and up.
Charlotte Roller Derby Season Opener
Charlotte Roller Derby opens the 2025 season with Sweetheart Smackdown on Saturday, February 22, 2025, starting at 1 p.m. This triple-header features bouts at 2 p.m., 4:15 p.m., and 6:25 p.m. Tickets range from $11 to $20.
