Olde Rowan Fiber Guild is holding a fiber arts open house on Monday, February 16th, 2016, at 6:30 p.m., at 207 West Harrison Street in Salisbury. This free event is a chance for the public to see samples and demonstrations of tri-loom weaving, spinning, needle tatting, hat blocking, and inkle weaving. The Olde Rowan Fiber Guild represents all fiber arts — knitting, sewing, quilting, spinning, weaving, felting, crocheting, tatting, embroidery, basketry, paper crafting, and others, and holds monthly meetings. At the open house, there will be refreshments and drawings for door prizes throughout the evening, as well as a short meeting at 7:30 p.m., where members of ORFG will talk about the history, purpose, and future plans of the Guild.
