UNC Charlotte School of Social Work is presenting a free film screening and panel discussion of “When We Work” on Thursday, June 25th, 2020, at 6:30 p.m.
- 6:15 PM – WebEx Event Opens
- 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM – “When We Walk” Premiere Screening
- 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM – Panel Discussion/Q&A
When We Walk” is the second part of a documentary trilogy that follows the life of filmmaker Jason DaSilva as he deals with primary progressive multiple sclerosis. It documents DaSilva’s struggle to stay close with his son. In the process, he ends up on a trip through the challenges of a broken health care system and the threat of powerlessness facing all disabled people.
The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion (7:30 pm – 8:30 pm) including persons with MS, health care providers, social workers, and MS organizational representatives.
Local vendors have donated items for a drawing for those attendees who complete a short event evaluation form.
Event sign-in begins at 6:15 pm. The film screening will begin at 6:30 pm and followed by a panel discussion (7:30 pm – 8:30 pm) including persons with MS, health care providers, social workers, and MS organizational representatives.
Attendees will be invited to complete a short event evaluation form with the opportunity to win gift certificates (The Campus Salon, Chick Fil A, or Starbucks).
