Free Film Screening at UNC Charlotte: The Farewell

Confucius Institute at UNC Charlotte is hosting a free screening of the film, The Farewell, on Tuesday, November 19th, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at McKnight Hall at Cone Center, 9201 University City Boulevard.

The screening is free and open to the public.

It’s rated PG-13.

From the makers of “Room” and “Lady Bird” comes “The Farewell”, an American comedy-drama written and directed by Lulu Wang that explores family, culture, and grief.

“The push and pull between the bonds of blood and ties of culture are explored with a light touch and a perceptive eye for detail in this delightful, semi-autobiographical family drama.”
