Firkat El Watan is a local group of Palestinian American women who learn and perform dabke, a folk dance performed by Lebanese, Syrians, Palestinians and Jordanians.
Dabke combines circle dancing and line dancing and is widely performed at weddings.
Firkat El Watan is presenting its 2nd Annual Dabke Showcase on Saturday, April 20th, 2019, at 7 p.m., in McKnight Hall in the Cone Center at UNC Charlotte, 9025 University Road.
A traditional Palestinian wedding will be showcased.
Admission is free, and so is parking and food.
