Discovery Place Kids Rockingham, the southeast outpost of Discovery Place Kids, is having a free day on Saturday, June 14th, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It’s about an a hour and a half drive from the middle of Charlotte, but not too long of a haul for those outside the southeast part of the I-485 loop. I haven’t been there, but it looks similar to Discovery Place Kids Huntersville, which was a blast for my niece.
