On the third Thursday of every month, stop in at one of the museums at Levine Center for the Arts and get a free 30-minute tour. This is a perfect way to get an art break during your lunchtime. The free tour is from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Visitors can choose one of the three museums for each date, and experience a tour structured around a common theme reflecting the nature of permanent collections or special exhibitions on view. (Each theme lasts for three months—enough to experience all three institutions.)
The Mint Museum, Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture, and the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art are participating. These docent-led tours offer a brief but focused art encounter, and still allow you time to grab lunch.
