Waxhaw’s monthly First Friday events bring the community together in downtown Waxhaw for lots of free fun. July 3rd’s event, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. has an 80s theme. If you wear something 80s themed, you can get a free bike helmet at Bike Depot. At 7 p.m. there will be live music by Dirt Poor. There will also be face-painting and free carriage rides, as well as a scavenger hunt. The Town of Waxhaw is in Union County, to the southeast of Charlotte.
