Davidson College Music Department is presenting a free chamber music concert, Jean Sibelius and Richard Strauss 150th Anniversary concert, on Sunday, October 19th, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. It takes place in the Tyler-Talllman Hall of the Sloan Music Center. In honor of the 150th anniversary of the birth of composers Jean Sibelius and Richard Strauss, the Music Department will offer a faculty recital of chamber music by both composers and their contemporaries. Remarks by Associate Professor Tara Villa Keith and performances by Artist Associates in Voice Jacquelyn Culpepper and Diane Thornton, Artist Associate in Piano Cynthia Lawing, Director of Choral Activities Christopher Gilliam, Artist Associate in Accompanying David Gilliland, and special guests Hannah King, piano and Eric Keith, french horn.
